Manoj Bharathiraja’s Career and Legacy
Manoj Bharathiraja, aged 48, passed away in Chennai on Tuesday following a cardiac arrest. He made his debut in the 1999 film Taj Mahal and starred in notable Tamil films like Samudhiram, Kadal Pookkal, Eera Nilam, and Viruman.
Apart from acting, Manoj worked as an assistant director for his father’s unreleased film Final Cut of Director. He also assisted Mani Ratnam on Bombay and Shankar on Enthiran. In 2006, he married actress Nandana, and the couple had two daughters, Arthika and Mathivadani.

Actor Vijay also visited Bharathiraja’s residence to extend his condolences. He was seen consoling Manoj’s mother, with images and videos of his visit circulating widely on social media.
