Shreya Ghoshal recently updated her fans on social media, sharing both encouraging news and a concerning warning. After battling hackers for over a month, the beloved singer has finally regained control of her X (formerly Twitter) account. However, she also alerted her followers to a new issue: misleading ads using AI-generated images of her without consent.
Last month, Shreya Ghoshal informed fans that hackers had taken over her X account, locking her out of her own profile. She worked relentlessly to resolve the issue, and thanks to help from the X team, she’s now back in control.

“I am back!! I will be talking and writing here often,” she announced. “Yes, my X account had been in trouble since it got hacked in February. After a lot of struggles in establishing proper communication, the @X team finally helped me. All is well now!”
However, her return came with a fresh problem. Ghoshal noticed misleading advertisements on the platform that featured her name and AI-generated images, promoting suspicious links.
She warned her followers in another post: “Many weird ads are running with absurd headlines and AI-generated pictures of me. These are clickbaits leading to spam or fraudulent links. Please report these ads. I have no control over them. I’ve tried my best, but these are part of X’s ad regulations. I hope they fix this soon.”

Ghoshal further cautioned fans not to click on such ads, emphasizing that they often use sensational or negative headlines to lure users. “Some articles run as ads with breaking news or shocking headlines. When people click on them, they land on fraudulent or spammy sites,” she explained.
She urged fans to continue reporting such content and added, “X needs to take action to stop these ads from circulating. I’m not the only one affected—many other celebrities are facing the same problem. Please don’t click on these ads. You can tell they’re fake and AI-generated.”
