Samyuktha Advocates for Women Through Cinema
Actress Samyuktha is always ready to support meaningful causes, especially those empowering women. Recently, she lent her voice and backing to the short film Keep The Fire Alive. Passionate about making a difference, she believes in using her influence for the greater good. “When the filmmakers approached me to present the short film, I loved its concept—it supports women’s causes. If my involvement can bring more visibility and traction to the project, I am more than happy to be part of it,” she shares.
Evolving Representation of Women in Cinema
“As someone in the limelight, I feel a responsibility to contribute positively to society,” says Samyuktha. She believes that women’s representation in cinema has evolved, with filmmakers creating deeper and more powerful roles across languages. “Legends like Savithri Garu, Sridevi Garu, and Vijayashanti Garu carried female-centric films with remarkable depth. Today, cinema is transforming societal perceptions and influencing culture. I consider myself fortunate to be part of this industry at such a dynamic time,” she adds. She also acknowledges that more filmmakers are crafting authentic stories, with producers willing to invest in strong female-led narratives.
A Hat-Trick of Hits in Tollywood
Having worked in Malayalam and Tamil films, Samyuktha made her Tollywood debut with Bheemla Nayak, followed by Bimbisara and Sir—all turning into massive blockbusters. While she is grateful for the audience’s love, she remains grounded. “Success is exhilarating, but I don’t let it overwhelm me. I treat both success and failure with balance. For me, the joy lies in the process of filmmaking—going to the shoot, working passionately, and returning home with satisfaction. That’s true success,” she reveals.
Growth, Confidence, and Adaptability
Samyuktha admits there was a time when she sought external validation but soon realized that the journey itself was the most fulfilling aspect of her career. With a strong filmography in Tollywood, she is now more comfortable with the language and can confidently converse in Telugu. “Even if there’s a last-minute dialogue change on set, I can adapt quickly and deliver my lines effortlessly,” she says proudly. This adaptability has not only boosted her confidence but has also brought her immense joy in her cinematic journey.
