A tragic incident unfolded near the popular Egyptian Red Sea resort town of Hurghada, where a tourist submarine sank, resulting in at least six fatalities and nine injuries, according to local reports.

The ill-fated submarine, identified as Sinbad, had around 35 people on board when it went down, Al Masry Al Youm reported. Although the six victims were confirmed to be non-Egyptian, their nationalities have not yet been disclosed, as per Reuters.

Rescue Efforts and Casualties
Rescue boats, nearby tourist vessels, and over a dozen ambulances rushed to the scene, successfully pulling 29 survivors from the water. The cause of the sinking remains unknown.

Sinbad had been in operation for several years, offering underwater tours for tourists to explore marine life and coral reefs at depths of approximately 80 feet.
