Spider-Man 4 : Sony Unveils Title at CinemaCon 2025
The Spider-Man franchise is set to swing back into action with its highly anticipated fourth installment, now officially titled “Spider-Man: Brand New Day.” The exciting update was announced at CinemaCon 2025 in Las Vegas, where director Destin Daniel Cretton confirmed that filming is scheduled to begin later this summer.
Although Tom Holland couldn’t attend the event in person, he sent a special video message to address fans.
Tom Holland on “Brand New Day” & Avoiding Spoilers
“I am so sorry I can’t be with you. I am halfway around the world shooting a movie. I know we left you with a massive cliffhanger at the end of No Way Home, so Spider-Man: Brand New Day is a fresh start. It is exactly that. That’s all I can say. That’s all I’ve been allowed to say. And I’m well over the hump of giving away spoilers, so don’t be worried. I’m not going to do that today,” said Holland.
The actor, who will also be seen in Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey” alongside Matt Damon, Zendaya, and Anne Hathaway, made it clear that he’s keeping plot details under wraps this time.
What’s Next for Peter Parker?
“Spider-Man: No Way Home” (2021) ended on a game-changing note, with Peter Parker erasing his identity from the world to repair the broken multiverse. While the exact plot of “Brand New Day” remains under wraps, the title hints at a fresh beginning for the beloved superhero.
The film is slated for release on July 31, 2026.
Director Destin Daniel Cretton Shares Insights
At CinemaCon, director Destin Daniel Cretton spoke about the film’s creative direction:
“I’m spending my time exploring the next stage of this amazing character with a team of the most incredible artists in the world. We’re all, just daily, nerding out over the suit, how to swing, how to create an event, an emotional story, and a ride that we haven’t really seen before.”
Returning Cast & New Additions
While no official confirmations of Spider-Man 4 have been made, Zendaya (MJ) and Jacob Batalon (Ned) are expected to return alongside Holland. Additionally, Sadie Sink has joined the cast in a mystery role, with speculation suggesting she could portray Jean Grey, a character previously played by Famke Janssen and Sophie Turner in past X-Men films.
